The gym is a funny place. I mean we humans have detached ourselves so far from our how evolution has built us that we must now commit time to "move stuff around". Nothing is created that helps the human race. The goal is to build oneself up superficially or simply maintain a normal sized body we might otherwise have if we were born 2-300 years ago. In addition, the designers of a gym specifically lay it out to make one seem "larger" than he actually is, which only feeds into the concept. However, there is nothing wrong with doing things that make us feel better. I mean what is charity. On the surface it is one man helping another, a selfless act, but deep down, subconsciously does it not make one feel accomplished? There aren't many people who work at a soup kitchen for a day and go home feeling worthless or not being able to contribute in someway to society. I apologize for my digression. So yeah, the gym is a pretty weird concept. Mindless activity focused on making us feel better. If only there was something where we could build something and still get the right amount of exercise. I mean it wont stop me from going but I just wish there was some alternative that could get me as jacked and tan as Pauly D and also not require working on the docks getting paid shit. One day.
Let me know your thoughts.
Til next time...stay warm and get some for yourself.
